My school uses Math in Focus-Singapore Math. I love this program, and one of the many good things about it is that it is already coorelated to the Common Core State Standards. I made these math stations to go along with Chapter 6 and a review of Chapter 2. I use them for small group or partner stations that my children can do independently while I am working with an intervention or enrichment group. Enjoy!

Growing Pumpkin Sprouts and a FREEBIE!!!
I decided that since I have a GREAT group of kinders this year, I have no excuses not to do fun stuff with them! So, I decided this is the year to try to grow pumpkin sprouts in the pumpkin like I've seen on Pinterest! My kids were so excited when I cut the top off of the pumpkin and we poured in the soil! I am a little worried because the soil I used was some that I found in an old supply closet, so it could be pretty old! We'll see what happens... Anyway, this is what it looked like on day 1:
Here is what we did before we cut into our pumpkin:

Another Ocean Freebie!
Only 4 more days with my sweet and funny kinders! It's been such a rough year. Yet, I am really going to miss this group. We have been a true "School Family", dysfunction and all! Today, P was double-fisting the hot dogs she brought for snack as my principal walked in and I remember again why I love teaching kindergarteners! They really are wonderfully unique!
My kids loved completing this math emergent reader! Download this freebie and please leave a comment if you like it.

Free Ocean Unit!!
I am so excited for summer break! It's been a rough year and I'm really looking forward to having time to work on my blog and my own personal growth this summer. Still, it's going to be hard to say goodbye to this group of kids. They are definitely a special bunch!
It's always fun to teach an ocean unit at the end of the year. Enjoy this free ocean unit! If you like it, please consider following my blog!

Assessed OUT!!!!!!
I am officially tired of assessing my kinders. The last few weeks of school can get really stressful, worrying about meeting assessment deadline and administering test after test to my poor kids! But, we have still found some time to do some fun stuff! This week is "Going to the Zoo"!! I will try to put a freebie together with some of the fun zoo centers and activities I made. Until then, here are a few springtime freebies to hold you over!

I am so excited to be posting my first mini unit! Click on the picture below to download it for FREE! If you like it, please leave me a comment and consider following my blog! I have not done a pirate unit before so I am excited to use some of my own creations with my little kinders. I plan to wrap up this unit with a "Dress Like a Pirate Day"! Aaaarrrrrr!!!!

Today I had some wonderful correspondence with a helpful rep at DJInkers! I absolutely love their adorable clip art! I had some questions about the legality of using their clip art on teaching materials posted to a blog. Thanks to their kind and clear explanation, I am able to post a couple Springtime Freebies!!
